IDENTITIES, AS PART OF THE BIG TOPICS.
IT IS KIND OF WEIRD OR MAYBE INTERESTING TO START A CLASS ASKING WHAT ARE IDENTITIES?
SO THAT IS BASICALLY HOW THAT TOPIC WAS INTRODUCED TO US. MR. SAMANIEGO ASKED US ONE BY ONE THAT QUESTION. IN THAT CLASS AND THE REST OF THEM WE LEARNED A LOT ABOUT, PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES, WITH THE GOAL OF:
- WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE ABOUT MATTERS OF PERSONAL, LOCAL OR NATIONAL, AND GLOBAL INTEREST IN THE CONTEXT OF STUDY OF IDENTITIES.
IN THOSE LESSON WE LEARNED ABOUT:
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES, RELATIONSHIPS, EATING AND DRINKING HABITS, AND PHYSICAL WELLBEING.
AS WELL AS: PHYSICAL APPEARANCE, PERSONALITY, CLOTHES, AND PERSONAL DETAILS.
WITH QUESTION RELATED TO THAT TOPIC SUCH AS:

- HOW DO I EXPRESS MY IDENTITY
- TO WHAT POINT THE CLOTHES I WEAR REFLECT MY PERSONALITY.

LIFESTYLES: IN MY OWN WORDS LIFESTYLE IS HOW OR THE WAY YOU ARE
LIVING, THE THING YOU DO, AND HOW YOU KEEP YOUR DAILY ROUTINE.
HEALTH: THE WORD HEALTH REFERS TO A STATE OF COMPLETE
EMOTIONAL, MENTAL, AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING.

CAN BE DEFINED AS A SET OF ASSUMPTIONS MADE ABOUT THE SURROUNDINGS, VALUE CAN

AS PART OF THE 5 BIG TOPICS, WE HAVE IDENTITIES, AND AS PART OF CELEBRATING THE END OF THIS TOPIC, WE HAD A REUNION PARTY. WHERE WE HAD A BASIC IMAGE THAT WE WERE ALL ALREADY GRADUATED.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS RECEPTION PARTY WAS TO LEARN ABOUT THE DIFFERENT WAYS THAT WE CAN EXPRESS OURSELF.

WHY IS IMPORTANT THIS KIND OF ACTIVITY?
I reckon this kind of activity reconnects and strengthens relationships because is an opportunity for people to reconnect with those they haven't seen in a long time. So that, we can share memories, and feelings that involve nostalgia, especially, because we share the same moments, and experiences in academia.
Something, also important is that you can make networking with others after a long time you have not seen them. That can significant new opportunities personally and professionally.
ABOUT ME
At the party I was a businesswoman, who travels around the world, and works at the UN, trying to make changes for our society. I was married, but I had no children, but at the party, I adopted a son from Edwin and Alexander.Because I didn't want to have children, but my partner did, so I adopted 1 of the 10 children they had.
OUTFIT
I chose to wear something casual, fresh, a little formal, but at the same time a little youthful. But after the party, I took off my heels because my feet hurt, so I adopted to wear sneakers.
ACTIVITY: WALL ABOUT IDENTITIES
As you can properly see in the background, we have a wall or a pillar filled with images. That wall is called the Identities wall.
PURPOSE OF THIS ACTIVITY
Before making this collage about identities, Mr. Samaniego assigned us to bring to school some magazines. I did not know what we would do with those magazines, but suddenly one that he came to the classroom, and he said "Well guys, you have 15 minutes to fill that wall with images". In the beginning, it seemed crazy because we thought we could not do it at that time.
But, we could. I would say the key was working as a group because when others were cutting, others were pasting or writing the titles. So, I reckon this kind of activity helps us to work together as a team, and use this activity related to one of the big topics which is Identity.
