NOVATADAS

According to Collins's dictionary the term "novatadas" in Spanish refers to practical jokes or pranks, particularly those that are played on newcomers or beginners. It can also refer to beginner's mistakes or errors, especially in a work or academic context. Synonyms for "novatadas" include "befa," "broma," "bufonada," "burla," "cachondeo," "camelo," "candonga," "caraba," "carnavalada," "chacota," "chanza," and "chirigota." These words all refer to different types of jokes, pranks, or playful behavior, with some emphasizing a more lighthearted or humorous tone, while others may have a more negative or critical connotation (Collins dictionary, s.f.)

Last year, Angélica González-Oscar Nieto from the 10°A (the esmeralditas), won the novatadas, in second place was Angelie Denegri- Kevin Zamorano (kengelyblue) from the 10°C, and in third place were Adyanis Contreras- Drake Nash.

This year the colour yellow win, but been honest I really like redvex performace. I mean, the king, the queen, the choreography, cheerleading and marketing. But, there were jurors, so they job is to chose the one, that really deserved it. So, it was a fair competition.

IMPORTANCE OF CELEBRATING THE SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY

Celebrating a school anniversary is important for several reasons. First, it allows the school community to commemorate the heritage, traditions, and success of the school. This can help strengthen community spirit, increase participation from ex-students, raise the school's profile, and align fundraising efforts. Second, a school anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the school's history and give thanks to those who have contributed to its success.(School, s.f.)

EXPERIENCE

This experience was rewarding for me, as through the competition, we were able to meet the tenth graders and make new friends. My favorite hazing days were Rally Day and Comparsa Day. I liked it because there was murga, people dancing, and singing, so it reminded me a little bit of the carnival. Nevertheless, I also took some photos, because I am part of Academy Legends, the school´s magazine, so it was cool and I enjoyed taking some photos, of this special moment.
